Kirkwood, Sierra-at-Tahoe and Heavenly are located on the southern side of the lake, approximately 80 miles (129 km) from Reno.Throughout Tahoe, cross-country skiing, snowmobile riding and snowshoeing are also popular, thus there are many trails for them.
